What this is

The Group Chat takes a single input, a screenshot or pasted text, and returns five AI-generated verdicts plus a shareable card. The voices are fictional characters we wrote. The verdicts are commentary, not advice. They'll sometimes be wrong on purpose.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older.

The verdicts are not advice

What The Group Chat produces is creative output from an AI model. It is not legal, medical, psychological, financial, or relationship advice. Use it the way you'd use a friend's hot take, directional, occasionally useful, and to be weighed against your own judgment and, when it matters, a real professional.

Safety

We screen inputs for crisis content. If something serious comes through, we show resources instead of generating verdicts. These mechanisms are best-effort and not a substitute for emergency services. If you're in crisis, please call 988 (U.S.) or your local emergency number. The Group Chat is not a crisis service.

Acceptable use

When you use The Group Chat, you agree not to:

• Submit content that's illegal, that harasses a specific person, or that you don't have the right to submit
• Submit content depicting or about minors in a sexual or exploitative context
• Use the service to harass, defame, or stalk anyone
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or try to break our quota or paywall (there isn't one yet, if there ever is, don't)
• Resell or repackage our output as your own product
• Submit content with the goal of training a competing AI model

We can suspend or terminate access for violations.

Accounts

There are no accounts. There is nothing to log into. If we ever introduce a paid tier with magic-link login, this section gets longer.

Intellectual property

The Group Chat's name, logo, brand voice, persona definitions, and underlying mechanic are the property of Scruple LLC. The verdicts you generate are yours to share, screenshot, and repost. that's the point. The brand identity is not.

Disclaimer

The Group Chat is provided as-is and as-available. We make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose. Use at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scruple LLC, its members, employees, contractors, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of The Group Chat, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or emotional distress, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from your use of The Group Chat shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars. Right now you don't pay us anything, so do the math.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scruple LLC from any claim, damage, liability, or expense arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Termination

You can stop using The Group Chat any time. We can terminate or suspend your access any time, for violations or any reason at our discretion.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version lives at thegroupchat.app/terms with the date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Florida, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
